Just saw the new showreel from Burnwe and I’m really inspired by how they blend design and motion. Their clean, minimal visuals combined with energetic, purposeful movement create a rhythm that feels both bold and thoughtful on acid.
What stands out is how they make motion meaningful, turning marketing videos into experiences that captivate and engage. This showreel is a masterclass in clear, striking visual storytelling.
Insights with Anush Mnatsakanyan, Co-Founder Burnwe
What’s your thought about how design and motion are playing an essential role in branding?
At Burnwe, we think that motion is often the difference between confusion and instant comprehension, especially in the tech industry where we specialize. We see motion as a strategic storytelling layer that helps brands communicate faster, sharper, and with personality. It’s also becoming a brand signature; just like a logo or color palette, motion language now signals who the companies are.
What kind of tools are you and your team using nowedays?
Our core toolkit includes After Effects for motion design, and Figma and Adobe Illustrator for design.
What do you expect to change in the field of design and motion in the near future? (tools, way of working or anything else)
Mainly, we see AI-accelerated production. AI won’t replace designers, but it will compress timelines and help increase quality. Also, brands will invest in motion libraries and reusable visual systems that scale across product updates, platforms, and campaigns.
What is your advice for upcoming desingers / motion designers and students?
Stay curious and focus on fundamentals. Tools change, but principles don’t. Storytelling is still the key. You can animate, but that alone might not be enough; communicating with video is more important. Also, build taste, watch great work, and analyze why it’s great – helps to grow faster.
